Take the first step to becoming a CASA advocate:

CASA 101: Information Sessions

CASA 101 is an informational meeting for individuals interested in learning more about CASA in the Heart of Texas and the possibility of becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate.  This is a time to meet with staff, face to face, to gain more information about the role of CASA volunteers, specifics about what they do, the time and commitment involved,  qualifications,  characteristics of great CASAs, as well as information about the steps involved in the process, training required, etc.  We  have these information sessions on a regular basis in Brownwood and Comanche and as needed in Mills county.  We strongly recommend attendance at a CASA 101 for anyone who might be interested; however, if you cannot attend or  have just missed a meeting we would be happy to talk you by phone or schedule a time to meet with you individually.  There is important information here on our website as well; and if you are ready to submit your application, you may do so from this site.

CASA 101: Information Sessions are held in Brownwood on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM, 901 Avenue B (in the Community Connections of Central Texas bldg.).

CASA 101: Information Sessions are held in Comanche on the 4th Thursday of the month at Mattdaddy’s Restaurant on the courthouse square at 5:30 PM.  Please call the CASA office at 325-643-2557  if you plan to attend.
